BHUVANESHWARI
AGE – 19
Bhuvana is one of the intelligent girls in FEEEDHome. She was born in the year 2000 in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu. Her father, Mr.Karuppusamy worked as a cook in a village hostel.Unfortunately, he got HIV/AIDS andsuffered for years.He finally died in the year of 2007. Her mother, Chandra wasathomeandworkedasamaid.
It was the worst time or month in the year 2007 for Bhuvana’s family. After her father’s demise, Mrs. Chandra, Bhuvana’s mother died in the same week of her father’s death. Three children were left alone without knowing what they would do next in their life. Local communities rejected their family because of the disease and people/neighbors in the area were afraid if the disease is contagious.
Luckily with her uncle’s help, the two girls were able to get to Chennai – Tambaram Hospital for treatment. Hospital helped those girls to refer to the NGO. Bhuvana was taken by Mr. Jerome Selvaraj in FEEED. Mr. Jerome has sacrificed her life for the welfare of these challenged children. Selvaraj found Bhuvana and helped her from childhood and supported her emotionally. Bhuvana started to have a peaceful life with Mr. Jerome Selvaraj. The greatest achievement of Bhuvana is that she scored 84% in her 10th Grade i.e. 420/500 Marks and Bhuvana has completed her 12th grade with specialization in Commerce. she has scored 936/1200 Marks . This supposed to be a high/great FEEED especially for a girl with the HIV/AIDS. She puts her best effort in studying even though she is sick. She aspires to become a Bank Manager and help other people like her in future. She dreams to be a Bank Manager and help many NGOs and girls like her. With respect to her health, she is not normal and has challenges. Her CD4 count (T cells) is very low though she eats healthy nutritious food. FEEED would like to get her college admission in one of the reputed colleges in Chennai to pursue her Bachelors of Commerce in Banking in year 2018.
Nisonia
AGE – 12
Nisonia has admitted to local Government school in the year 2018 in 7th grade. She will also be connected to regular tuition in the neighbourhood area. The most unfortunate thing for the younger girl, Nesnoia is that she got seriously infected by Tumor and she was admitted the very next day in Chennai Tambaram Hospital. The Doctor prescribed her to take bed rest at least for 3 months. She is very good in drawing and is very creative. She is a very smart girl. She has gained weight compared to her weight when she joined FEEEDsix months back. She celebrates her birthday in the month of November 22nd and 2005 Year. She shows keen interest in English language. Her reading and writing skills are the best. She gets home sick may be once a week as she is missing her dear ones. She cries sometimes mentioning that she has no one for her and no one in her family cares for her anymore.
Renuka
AGE – 12
Renuka is 12 year old Orphaned girl from Urapakkam which is located 70 kms away from Chennai. She has lost her Mother when she was 04 years old. Her father again when she was 05 years old. She was totally left over to her only aunty who has taken care of her . She is infected by HIV/AIDS when she was in mother’s womb. She has no siblings. FEEED has admitted Renuka by the reference of Government Doctor from Chennai. She was so lost in everything when FEEED was identified Renuka. But she is coming up well and energetic now. She is also in dangerous condition in health wise – 2nd line of HIV medicine. We are hoping to bring her to 1st line by providing nutritious supplies . She is studying in Government School – 7th grade
Uma Rani
AGE – 11
Uma Rani is the youngest girl in FEEEDHome. She is 10years old and is from Pallavaram area in Chennai. She has lost her parents when she was 2years old in Andhra Pradesh. Her mother was working as a helper in construction field and got HIV/AIDS through people in the field.Her mother died when Uma was 2 years old.Her father died soon after her mother’s death.Uma was left alone with her grandparents who did not care for her.They left her on the road. Mr. Gurunathan who is also a HIV infected met this small girl in Hospital and helped her to connect to NGOs. Uma grew up to be 9 years old and she was admitted in the Hospital for health issues.A medical officer who knew about FEEED connected her to FEEEDHome.She is very happy now in ARK. She is a great dancer. She is very close to everybody now in ARK. She is a very talkative and sportive girl.
Anthonyammal
AGE – 14
Anthonyammal is one of the Orphaned girl with HIV/AIDS infected by birth. She is from very small obscure village in Kadalur district. She has lost her Mother when she was 4 years old. She has a father who has handicapped and he is infected by HIV/AIDS surviving with the small support of local government as well as connected with Government Hospital. Since he is very poor and not able to support and lift up her daughter, he has sent her to FEEED Home . FEEED has admitted Ms. Anthonyammal in the year 2017 and admitted her in the Government School. She was studying in 10th grade and failed but we have identified her talent and admitted her in catering college along with her inmate Ranjini on the same course – Hotel She is a very good singer and Dancer. She is font of eating non-vegetarian. She is very sportive and happy smile girl always. She needs more support to come up in her life. She is goal is to be a teacher and take care of her father.
Sugritha
AGE – 12
Sugritha is one of the girl from Thiruvarur District. She has lost her mother when she was 5 years old. She came to know about her health condition , i.e infected by HIV/AIDS through her father. Her father is also infected by HIV/AIDS. She has two elder sister who are not infected. She is very much confused with the statement from the Medical officer that she is the only one in her family infected . Some how she is accepted with less knowledge on HIV. FEEEDhas identified through one of the Medical officer from Thiruvarur and referred to FEEEDto giver her new life. FEEEDhas been admitted her in the year 2018 May . She is also admitted in the Government School in Thuraipakkam Chennai. She is studying in 6th grade. She is a superb Dancer and very active . She is taking ART medicine from Tabamram – Chennai Government Hospital. FEEEDhas a great aim towards Sugritha’s health to increase her C4 count cells to make her healthy and happy.
Parasakthi
AGE – 10
Parasakthi is 9 years old from Naiveli – Tamil Nadu. She hails from an extremely poor family background and lives on the pavements. She has 4 sibblings which the age group of 13 years. Her father died due to HIV/AIDS when she was 7 years old. Her whole family including Parasakthi were involved in rag picking , which was their primary source of income forwards their daily bread winning. We at FEEEDhave welcome Parasakthi, who is infected with HIV/AIDS into our FEEEDHome. We have admitted her into an English medium Government school situated in Thoraipakkam. We at FEEEDhave renewed the life of this girl child, who is now pursing an education in Std II . She is very playful and lovable girl. We have been training her to be more responsible and to do her daily assignments/tasks on her own.
Manishadevi
AGE – 13
Manishadevi is 13 years old from Cuddalore – Tamil Nadu. She hails from an extremely poor family background and lives on the pavements. She has no siblings which she is the only daughter to her family. Her father died due to HIV/AIDS when she was 2 years old. Her whole family including Parasakthi were involved in rag picking , which was their primary source of income forwards their daily bread winning. We at FEEEDhave welcome Parasakthi, who is infected with HIV/AIDS into our FEEEDHome. We have admitted her into an English medium Government school situated in Thoraipakkam. We at FEEEDhave renewed the life of this girl child, who is now pursing an education in Std II . She is very playful and lovable girl.
